We held our wedding reception in the Lough Rea Hotel & Spa in December last and we had a fabulous, amazing day. From our initial visit to the hotel to our wedding day we were treated so professionally. We had visited the majority of hotels in the county prior to making our decision but the Lough Rea Hotel seemed to tick all the boxes; one wedding a day, an accessible bar in the function room, a good sized centrally located dance-floor, a large room where all our 200 guests could be accommodated at round tables, a lovely setting adjacent to the lake for photos, car parking and finally and perhaps most importantly food and wine options which proved real value for money.
Helen our wedding co-ordinator was so helpful with suggestions and advice and was always ready to meet us or return calls and e-mails. Nothing was ever a problem for her and she was such a presence on the day that you knew and trusted all would run efficiently.
Many of our guests commented on the standard of food that was presented on the day, all was delicious, hot and served promptly. As it was winter we requested a warm dessert and this was provided by the chef with no fuss, in fact on our menu tasting night he presented us with three options! Glasses were never left un-filled through the meal.
The hotel itself is modern and stylish and the bedrooms were of a similar standard - it is a real treat to have friends and family stay in the hotel with you, joining you for breakfast the following morning and with so many rooms in the Lough Rea Hotel all were accommodated and indeed the rate was reasonable.
All in all I would highly recommend the Lough Rea Hotel & Spa. The care and consideration shown to us way exceeded our expectations. There was nothing that Helen and her team would not or could not do for us. How lovely too, that two months before our anniversary we receive an e-mail reminding us of our complimentary meal or overnight in the hotel. It is that attention to detail which makes the hotel what it is.
Paul & I got married last April and had our reception in the Loughrea Hotel & Spa. I could not have asked for a better service than what we received. We did not have to worry about any aspect of our reception as Helen had everything covered. So many of our guests commented on the brilliant meal and the excellant service from the staff. The Honeymoon suite was fabulous and I would recommend anyone to get married there.

Ronan and I wanted to follow up with you to thank you and the rest of the team at the Loughrea Hotel & Spa for making our wedding day the best day of our lives. We cannot praise the hotel enough. At the time we got married, both of us were living in the UK, but from our very first meeting with Helen and the rest of the team at Loughrea Hotel, we knew we were in good hands. Nothing was ever too much trouble and the weeks and months leading up to the big day were an absolute pleasure. We simply could not have asked for a more beautiful day. The whole day was faultless. The reception room looked amazing, the food was fantastic and the service was impeccable. We also had dinner in the hotel with family and friends the evening after and the food and service was again outstanding. Our wedding was all we hoped for and more, and we will definitely recommend the Loughrea Hotel & Spa to friends and family in the future. Thank you Helen once again for all your help. Our wedding day was perfect. A very large part of this was down to the management and staff at the Loughrea Hotel and Spa. The meal was fantastic and the service first class. Our guests were so impressed by the hotel and the warm welcome extended including the Welsh flag for our Welsh contingent! A particular thank you to Helen, Mary and Barry who worked tirelessly to ensure we enjoyed the best day of our lives!

I would just like to say the loughrea Hotel & Spa and all the staff made our wedding day so special,we had no worries about anything on the day everything was perfect from arrival to the hotel until we left the next day,the food and services was outstanding,the presentation of the ball room was beautiful,i would highly recommend the loughrea hotel & spa. 5th September 2009 I would just like to say a big thanks to the staff and management at the Loughrea Hotel & Spa and in particular Helen for arranging such a great wedding day celebration. Both Chris & I are extremely grateful for all the help and arranging which had been done prior to and during our wedding day, making it a very relaxed day for us. The staff was extremely professional, the food was fantastic and the room was beautiful and we are still getting compliments from family & friends who were there on the big day.
