- How do I get to Lough Rea Hotel & Spa?
We are located just off the M6 motorway. Take junction 16 for Loughrea and follow signage for Loughrea. At Moneamore roundabout – take 4th exit for hotel signposted Gort. Continue up to next roundabout – take 1st exit. We are located 250m on your left. For more information, click here.

- How far away is Loughrea Town centre?
Loughrea Town centre is a 10/15 minute walk from The Lough Rea Hotel & Spa. Just 3 mins in a taxi.
- How far away is Galway City centre?
Galway City centre is just 25 mins by car or accessible by public transport, reception are more than happy to help with information and timetables.
- Do you have private parking?
Yes The Lough Rea Hotel & Spa has its own private extensive complimentary car park but for large events please be aware spaces are not unlimited.
- Do you have WiFi?
Yes we have complimentary WiFi throughout the property.
- What are room rates at The Lough Rea Hotel & Spa?
Room rates may vary from season to season, day to day and for special events. All room rates quoted include taxes and charges. For the best available rates always book directly with The Lough Rea Hotel & Spa website.
- Do room rates include breakfast?
The Lough Rea Hotel & Spa offers both Bed and Breakfast rates and room-only rates. Room-only rates do not include breakfast. Full Irish or Continental breakfast is charged at €10 at the time of booking. Breakfast is €12 when booked a day before, and €13.95 on the day of.
- How do I get from the airport to The Lough Rea Hotel & Spa?
The hotel is the perfect location if travelling to Dublin, Shannon and Knock airports.
Shannon Airport – 74km, approx 45 minutes drive
Knock Ireland West Airport – 115km, approx 1 hours drive
Dublin Airport – 191km, approx 1hr 50 mins drive
Cork Airport – 204km, approx 2hrs 20 mins drive
- What bedroom facilities are provided?
Each of our 91 bedrooms offers an ensuite bathroom and complimentary toiletries, hairdryer, iron, tea and coffee making facilities, TV, writing desk and complimentary WiFi internet access. Netflix is also installed on every bedroom TV, so that you can ‘Netflix n’ Chill’ using your own log-in details.
- Do you have a luggage room?
Yes we have a luggage room where guests can store their valuables when checking out.
- Is The Lough Rea Hotel & Spa a non-smoking hotel?
Yes all bedrooms in Lough Rea Hotel & Spa are completely non-smoking. We do have a designated outdoor smoking area outside of the building to accommodate guests who smoke. A deep cleaning fee will be charged to guests who are found to be in breach of our no smoking policy.
- What are the check-in/check-out times?
Rooms are available from 3.00pm daily. If you wish to check in at an earlier time please let us know and we will try our best to accommodate this. Check-out is at 12.00pm.
- Does the hotel offer an early arrival or a late check out?
The hotel offers both early check in’s and late departures but both are subject to availability. Please contact reservations for more information on 0035391 – 880088
- What is the hotels cancellation policy?
For any other rates other than Advance Purchase, your credit card secures your booking. For all other rates cancellation policy is by 3pm 48 hours/2 days prior to arrival to avoid incurring the first nights charge on your card. Advance Purchase rates are non-refundable.
- What does the No Show Policy entail?
Any No Show reservations will be charged the first nights’ accommodation in full.
- What business facilities are there in The Lough Rea Hotel & Spa?
All meeting rooms are equipped with audio visual equipment, air conditioning, WiFi, LCD projectors, stationary and most have natural daylight and printing can be arranged through our reception desk.

- What are dining options in The Lough Rea Hotel & Spa?
Abbey Restaurant is our formal dining restaurant. Our chefs create an exciting new menu using only the freshest, locally sourced produce. For a casual lunch or dinner Lir Bar and Brasserie offers a fantastic selection of seasonal food cooked to order by our chef’s from 12pm daily along with a selection of light snacks and refreshments.

Breakfast is served Monday to Friday 7am – 10.30am
Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays Breakfast is from 7:30am – 10:30am
Lunch is served daily in our Brasserie from 12pm – 3.30pm
Dinner is served daily in our Brasserie from 5pm – 9:00pm

- Do you cater for special dietary requirements?
The Lough Rea Hotel & Spa caters for all dietary requirements where possible. Please let us know in advance of any such requirements and we will endeavour to meet your needs.

- Do you have wheelchair accessible bedrooms?
Yes we have a number of specially designed bedrooms to accommodate those with limited mobility.
- What is your Children’s Policy?
Children are more than welcome at The Lough Rea Hotel & Spa. All children under 12 stay for FREE when using existing beds. The maximum number of cribs/cots in a room is 1. Any type of extra bed is upon request and needs to be confirmed by management
- What are your Spa Opening Times?
Monday to Thursday 10.00am to 6pm
Friday 10.00am – 6pm
Saturday 10.00am – 6.00pm
Sundays/ Bank Holidays – 10.00am – 6.00pm

- Do you cater for pets?
